This has been helpful.

Understanding what it feels like to be pulled away from something you are immersed in before you are ready was eye-opening.  I hadn't thought about it that way before.

Thank you both!

I will definitely try grounding my grandson as he comes off of his screen time.  He is a little amped up afterwards.

I love it!!❤️

HI, I'M VELMA

AKA Mama Mavel. I'm a proud mom of a gamer.

I know how baffling and frustrating it can be managing screen use and video games as kids get older. So imagine my surprise when I discovered that instead of creating conflict games could actually bring us closer. Today gaming brings us both lots of joy and laughter.

I know what works - and I can't wait to share it with you.

HI, I'M SONALI

Sonali is a highly-sensitive mom, with three deeply-feeling and strong-willed kids. It took a whole lot of time to see that just because her kids didn't respond to parenting methods the way experts said they would, and just because her family didn't fit society's ideal of a "perfect family," she wasn't a bad mom and she wasn't raising spoiled, snowflake kids. In fact, now she knows for sure, that they rock!

Her work is dedicated to sharing with parents how it's possible to have fun with high needs kids and to raise them to be kind and compassionate.  Because she gets it - both from being THAT kid, and from having THOSE kids.

WE CREATED THIS WEBINAR FOR YOU IF YOU FEEL

STUCK, ANXIOUS OR

CONFUSED ABOUT SCREENS

This class is for you if:

  • You didn't grow up around games and don't really see why they are so appealing, but you want to engage with your child around screen time
  • You’re afraid that your kid is using tech or gaming to check out of their life
  • Sometimes it seems like the games are in control
  • You feel guilty for how much time your kid spends on a screen, and you also feel guilty for saying no because you see it's important to them
  • Transitions on and off tech and games are challenging
  • All your kid seems to want to do is talk about tech or games
  • You worry about how much time your child already spends online
  • You want strategies to reduce fighting and arguments around video games and screen use
